The U.S. men’s national team may have endured an up-and-down October window, but several key players enjoyed positive performances in their latest international appearances.
Gregg Berhalter’s squad suffered a 3-1 loss to Germany before rebounding in a positive way with a 4-0 thumping of Ghana. Several USMNT first-choice players featured in both matches while some others were able to gain valuable experience before returning to their respective clubs.
Folarin Balogun, Christian Pulisic, and Gio Reyna headlined the top performers for the Americans this October.

Winners
Folarin Balogun
Folarin Balogun carried his club form over right into USMNT duty, leaving a positive mark on the window.
Balogun started in both matches, scoring once against Ghana and assisting once against Germany. The 22-year-old played a combined 111 minutes this window, taking another key step forward in his growing role with the USMNT.
Balogun will be Berhalter’s No. 1 option heading into Concacaf Nations League duty this November after another strong window.
Christian Pulisic
Another standout USMNT attacker this window was Christian Pulisic.
Pulisic logged 120 combined minutes in both matches, scoring in each match and registering one assist against the Ghanaians. His sensational strike against Germany was another reminder of Pulisic’s quality in the final third.
With one goal scored in each of his last three matches for club and country, Pulisic will be full of confidence heading back to AC Milan.
Gio Reyna
