Gannett Co. Signs Exclusive Partnership with Tipico USA Technology
Gannett Co., the parent company of USA TODAY, recently announced a significant multiyear agreement with Tipico USA Technology to deliver a wide range of fresh sports betting content across the USA TODAY Network.
Under the terms of the substantial five-year, $90 million deal, Tipico will serve as the sole provider of sports betting and iGaming services for Gannett. The collaboration will see the integration of Tipico’s odds, props, free-to-play games, and betting trends across the network and over 200 affiliated properties, including For The Win, Golfweek, and MMA Junkie.
Michael Reed, Gannett’s chairman and CEO, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating, “Our large audience of over 46 million sports fans is eager for analysis, betting insights, odds, and unique features, all of which we aim to deliver through our alliance with Tipico. With their vast expertise from European operations and cutting-edge product capabilities, Tipico will enhance the sports experience for our audience and local consumers.”
Tipico is a prominent sports betting provider in Germany and globally recognized as one of the top companies in the industry. As part of the recent agreement, Tipico will co-brand all NFL Wire team sites and For The Win. Additionally, a refreshed Bets section named “Bet For The Win, powered by Tipico Sportsbook” will be launched. The integration includes the provision of odds pages across the USA TODAY Network, both in digital and print formats.
The introduction of branded sports betting content is scheduled for August to coincide with the commencement of the NFL season. Readers in New Jersey and Colorado can anticipate the launch of Tipico’s sports betting operations this fall, enabling them to place bets through Tipico Sportsbook.
