TULSA — Officials from USA BMX and USA Cycling have announced the selection of their 2024 Olympic Team for BMX Racing. Following two years of qualifying competitions, the team was finalized by USA Cycling’s director and Olympic coach, Jamie Staff.

The U.S. Olympic BMX racing team includes Cameron Wood (Bozeman, Mont.) and Kam Larsen (Bakersfield, Calif.) for the men, and four-time Olympian Alise Willoughby (Chula Vista, Calif.), Delany Vaughn (Tucson, AZ), and second-time Olympian Felicia Stancil (Lake Villa, Ill.) for the women.

This marks the first Olympics since the opening of the BMX Headquarters in Tulsa in 2022. Earlier this year, Olympic hopefuls worldwide visited Tulsa for the World Cup, earning points toward Olympic qualification. Many teams stayed to train on Tulsa’s world-class track.

“Thanks to the passion of the Tulsa community, the new USA BMX Headquarters has been a huge success,” said Shane Fernandez, USA BMX President and Chairman. “Tulsa is now recognized as the home of the world’s most advanced BMX facility and the USA-Cycling National BMX Racing team.”

The Olympic team will arrive in Tulsa mid-July for training sessions, public appearances and a sendoff party on July 16 at 4 pm at the BMX Headquarters. Events include an airport sendoff and a watch party for the Olympic competition.

“Oklahoma has quickly become a premier sporting destination,” said Oklahoma Lieutenant Governor Matt Pinnell. “Hosting Olympic athletes training at our facility is an incredible honor.”

Since opening, the USA BMX Headquarters has hosted numerous events and attracted over 100K visitors from 23 countries, enhancing Tulsa’s reputation on the global stage.
