WIMBLEDON, UK (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – World #11 Danielle Collins, who announced she would retire at the conclusion of the 2024 World Tennis season, faced #31 Barbora Krejcikova of the Czech Republic. Collins, favored after victories against Dane Clara Tauson and Hungarian Dalma Galfi, was upset by Krejcikova in straight sets. Krejcikova advances to the quarterfinals to face Latvian Jelena Ostapenko.
Emma Navarro has yet to play her round of 16 match at the time of writing. She has already defeated several stars, including Naomi Osaka and Coco Gauff in straight sets. She will face Italian Jasmine Paolini on Centre Court tomorrow at 10:30am EST.
Navarro’s match will be broadcast on ESPN.
