The USA Cycling Gravity Mountain Bike National Championships are returning to Hendersonville.
Ride Rock Creek, a 300-acre downhill mountain biking park adjacent to DuPont State Recreational Forest, will host this year’s national championships from July 31 to Aug. 4.
It is the second straight year Hendersonville has hosted the USA Cycling Gravity Mountain Bike National Championships.
Spectators can watch more than 700 professional and amateur mountain bikers compete for titles in multiple categories, including downhill, dual slalom and enduro, for free.

Hendersonville native Luca Shaw will attempt to defend his downhill professional national championship from last season. Anna Newkirk, of Salt Lake City, Utah, will try to repeat as the women’s downhill professional champion.
