CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) – The last day of the the Criterium for USA Cycling was held Friday in Charleston.
It’s a multi-lap road race where riders zip down city streets, navigating the course past cheering fans.
Tom Raker is from the area and said he likes seeing big events happen in the area — not just cycling.
“I love it. We’ve always been a sports town. If you can grab them and get them, then they’re good for ya, good for the economy, good for just stuff to watch,” Raker said.
