FC Barcelona are hard at work as they prepare for the pre-season under the guidance of Hansi Flick.
Having commenced training a few days ago, slowly but surely, the German manager is beginning to recover most of the squad.
While injured players like Pedri, Gavi, and Ronald Araujo will be sidelined for a while and those on vacation will return later, the squad’s strength is steadily increasing with each passing day.
And today a new face joined the group, Julian Araujo. The Mexican full-back spent last season on loan at Las Palmas and has returned to the club in a bid to make his stay permanent.

Now, according to SPORT, Julian Araujo, after training alone for several days and also with Alejandro Balde, is nearing the end of his recovery from an injury sustained at the end of the season with Las Palmas.
Indeed, the 22-year-old Mexican international began training partially with the rest of his teammates today. The right-back is entering the final phase of his recovery to be ready for Hansi Flick’s orders in the pre-season.

This bodes well for Barcelona, who will be without Ronald Araujo and Joao Cancelo in the pre-season, two players who have frequently chimed in at right-back for the club.
Given the absence of Araujo and Pau Cubarsi in training, Jules Kounde would be compelled to start centrally.
This should pave the way for Julian Araujo to find more regularity in the right-back position, where he performed admirably under Garcia Pimienta’s orders at Las Palmas.
The Mexican is renowned for his defensive grit and smart decision-making in attack, so Flick would be eager to have him at his disposal and potentially mould him into an important asset of the club.
