Barcelona’s director of football, Deco, has been facing a challenging situation regarding the future of Vitor Roque.

Deco was in Portugal this week
According to journalist Miguel Rico (h/t FCB World), Deco, in his efforts to resolve the issue, spent Thursday and Friday in Portugal, particularly in Porto, exploring potential opportunities for Roque.
The primary objective of these discussions was to find a club willing to take on the 19-year-old Brazilian striker.
Porto and Sporting CP have both expressed interest in acquiring Roque, and there is also interest from Everton in the Premier League.
The situation remains fluid, with Deco set to review the matter further when he arrives in Valencia today.

Barcelona want to recover the fee
Barcelona’s stance on this matter is clear and uncompromising. The club are determined not to incur any financial losses on Roque’s transfer.
They are prepared to sell him to any club that can match the €30 million fee they initially paid to Athletico Paranaense.
If no club is willing to meet these financial demands, the Catalan club are open to considering a loan move, provided that the loan terms cover the amortisation costs associated with the player’s contract.
From Roque’s perspective, his time at Barcelona has been anything but ideal. The young striker is eager to leave the club as soon as possible.
