With the transfer window set to come to a close on Friday night, FC Barcelona are pouring in all their efforts to try and return to the 1:1 rule so that they can make a few more additions to their roster.
Having encountered a myriad of problems in registering Dani Olmo, the Blaugrana are looking for ways to achieve some stability in the final few days and bring in a new left-winger, a right-back, and possibly even a centre-back in light of recent injuries.
Barcelona hope to reach an agreement in principle with Nike
To that end, SPORT reports that Barcelona are negotiating with Nike to reach an agreement in principle with the American sportswear company over the new kit deal.
Talks over a new deal with Nike have been going on for months now and at one point it appeared that an agreement was on the horizon.
However, a court verdict that prohibited the club from unilaterally severing the contract with Nike gave the sports goods giants leverage to slow down talks.

With talks continuing, sources at the Catalan club explain that they are convinced that an agreement could be reached with Nike before Friday. For this reason, they have spoken to La Liga to let them know about the situation.
The same sources admit that the definitive agreement with Nike will not be finalised until later, probably around October, but they hope that La Liga will accept this agreement in principle in order to put Barça back on the 1-1 rule.
If that is the case, the sporting management could activate one or more operations they have in the pipeline to reinforce Hansi Flick’s squad.
The new deal would see Barça renew their commitment with Nike for ten seasons at a rate of around €90 million plus variables per season. The Blaugrana would also receive a renewal bonus of around €120-150 million
