With only a few days left before the summer transfer window comes to an end, FC Barcelona are still hoping to get at least a couple more signings done.
A new left-winger remains the top priority while a move for Joao Cancelo or Marc Pubill to strengthen the right-back position is also being considered.
Now, though, Mundo Deportivo reports that Barcelona could also enter the market late in the day for a new centre-back.
With Ronald Araujo and Andreas Christensen out injured and Eric Garcia likely to be on his way out, Barça could venture into the market for a new central defender, provided there is enough Fair Play margin.
And, as per the report, the Catalan giants have three names on the agenda as possible replacements for Garcia.
Cristhian Mosquera (Valencia)
Just 20 years old, Cristhian Mosquera has already made over 50 first-team appearances for Valencia and was part of the Spain squad that won the gold medal at the Olympics this year.
Barcelona are understood to have very good reports on the Spanish-Colombian defender, who can play at centre-back and at right-back as well. However, with a contract that runs until 2026, it is unlikely that Valencia would let him leave, that too this late in the window.
Jonathan Tah (Bayer Leverkusen)

A name that has been linked with Barcelona since the start of this week, Jonathan Tah’s contract at Bayer Leverkusen expires in 2025 and he has no plans to renew, leading to the idea of a sale this summer, with a fee of €20 million being quoted.
Agent Pini Zahavi is believed to have offered Tah to Barcelona, although the Catalans see a move for the German international as complicated.
Mario Hermoso (Unattached)
The last name on the list that Barcelona are considering as a possible option to reinforce the defence is former Atletico Madrid centre-back Mario Hermoso.
