A teenager has been arrested in Spain for allegedly leading an assassin service using children as hitmen.
The boy, who is reportedly just 14-years-old, was arrested alongside his married parents – all Swedish citizens – at their home in Alicante.
The father and son allegedly provided criminal clients with ‘minors hired to commit murders’ in for a hitman service.
Spanish National Police said the youngster ‘played a key role’ in recruiting and paying other ‘child soldiers’ from Sweden and Denmark.
The 14-year-old is accused of using Telegram to recruit them and provide instructions on targets.
He would also organise deliveries of weapons and explosives including assault rifles, it is claimed. One teenager was given an escape plan involving an electric scooter.
The going rate for a kill in the murder-for-hire business was said to be between 20,000 and 50,000 euros.
The police said the family home was used as an ‘operations centre’.

In early November, Swedish prosecutors detained one of the three in absentia – their identities are hidden – on suspicion of attempted murder, preparation for murder and weapons crimes in Sweden, Denmark and Spain.
The alleged crimes took place during the spring and summer of 2024, prosecutors said.
The suspects are said to have managed multiple social media accounts to recruit the child assassins and give them orders.
They are also accused of weapons and drugs trafficking and money laundering.
But the gang was dismantled before any murder was committed, a police spokesperson said.
The police published a video of an arrest, showing a man chased on foot on the street in broad daylight and arrested with a gun drawn. He was pulled to the ground and handcuffed.
Cops began to investigate the hitman ring after arresting another teenager – a 17-year-old – in May.
Police said their investigation had also revealed a major criminal network between Sweden and Eastern European countries
They were hanging around a residential area in Benalmádena in Costa del Sol and police discovered the Swedish national had been flown in to kill a member of a motorbike gang.
The teenager was sent an assault rifle and an escape plan involving an electric scooter, but he was arrested before he could carry out the murder.
As part of a coordinated operation, Danish police also arrested another Swedish teenager in May who had travelled to Denmark with the intent to kill.
Police said their investigation had also revealed a major criminal network between Sweden and Eastern European countries.
Sweden has faced a surge in organised crime which is spreading across Europe. In August, Denmark urged Sweden to do more to stop cross-border gang violence and put a stop to armed Swedish teenagers acting as ‘child soldiers’.
