The Detroit Tigers were one of Major League Baseball’s most surprising teams in 2024 as they made the playoffs for the first time in the last ten seasons.
Not only did they make the playoffs, but they swept the Houston Astros in the wild-card series before losing to the Cleveland Guardians in the American League Division Series in five games.
The MLB offseason is heating up as free agent players began talking with teams interested in signing them.
Alex Bregman is one of the big-name free agents this offseason and MLB Analyst Scott Braun predicted where he thinks Bregman will end up.
“Bregman to third for the Tigers,” Braun said.
Bregman came into the league in 2016 with the Astros and has played all nine seasons of his MLB career with the organization.
In 2024, Bregman batted .260 with 26 home runs, 75 RBIs, and a .768 OPS in 145 games played.
Braun thinks that Bregman would be a great fit for the Tigers and be the player they thought Javier Baez would be when they signed him.
Bregman is one of those players who makes every player around him better, and Braun thinks his veteran presence would fit perfectly in this young Tigers team’s clubhouse.
Nothing is ever set in stone during free agency, but predictions can make it fun for fans to hope their team will sign a superstar player.
Bregman will draw interest from several teams, but Braun thinks the Tigers are where he will end up.
The Tigers will look to make the postseason for the second straight season as they search for their fifth World Series title in franchise history.
