Styx and REO Speedwagon singer Kevin Cronin have announced a joint 2025 North American tour, featuring support from former Eagles guitarist Don Felder.

The extensive outing, dubbed “The Brotherhood of Rock Tour,” kicks off May 28th in Greenville, South Carolina, and runs through an August 24th show in Milwaukee. Along the way, the classic rock acts will hit Denver, Dallas, Toronto, Cincinnati, and plenty of other cities.

A Live Nation pre-sale starts Wednesday (December 11th) at 10 a.m. local time using the code JOY, while the general on-sale begins Friday (December 13th) at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster.

Interestingly, Cronin is being billed as the ‘former lead singer/songwriter” of REO Speedwagon, following the band’s announcement earlier this year that it would cease touring after 2024 due to “irreconcilable differences” between Cronin and bassist Bruce Hall. REO Speedwagon’s last show will be December 21st in Las Vegas.

That all said, Cronin will be touring with essentially the same lineup that has made up REO Speedwagon’s recent shows, as Hall wasn’t touring with the band this past year. He’ll be joined by lead guitarist Dave Amato and drummer Bryan Hitt, who have played in REO Speedwagon since 1989, as well as keyboardist Derek Hilland, a member of REO Speedwagon since January 2023, and Matt Bissonette, who has been REO Speedwagon’s touring bassist since November 2023.

In a press release, Cronin and Styx guitarist Tommy Shaw each reflected on their longstanding friendship, recalling the time they bumped into each other at O’Hare Airport in 1975, as well as their first tour together in 2000.

Cronin said, “Now, here we are … having always had each other’s back, and psyched for our bands to join forces once again for the ‘Brotherhood of Rock’ tour.”

He added, “A lot has changed since that chance encounter at the airport in 1975, but our brotherhood has only become stronger through the years, as the songs of Styx and REO Speedwagon have found a place in the hearts and souls of people all across America.”
