Interactive Natural Resources Map Launched in Kazakhstan

ASTANA – An innovative interactive map detailing the ⁤country’s natural resources is now accessible on the Tabigat.gov.kz platform, as announced‌ by Kazakh Deputy‌ Minister‍ of Ecology⁤ and Natural Resources⁤ Nurlan⁤ Kurmalayev during a briefing at the Central Communications Service (CCS) ‌on December 10.

A Comprehensive Geographic‍ Resource ‌

“This platform serves as a geographic ⁢information system that offers insights into our nation’s environmental conditions and natural resources within a spatial framework,” Kurmalayev explained. The resource ⁣allows ‌users to explore data related to historical pollution levels, ⁢environmental pressures, waste management systems including solid waste ‍collection and recycling sites, along with geospatial information about⁤ various natural‌ assets. ⁣This encompasses surface water bodies,‌ protected nature ⁢reserves, recreational zones, wildlife habitats and ⁢migration⁢ routes as ⁤well as ‌designated hunting areas.

Enhancing Access to Environmental Data

The introduction of this map aims to provide ⁣standardized access to extensive data pertinent to environmental protection and resource ⁣management. To nurture‌ public interest in ecotourism opportunities ‍within Kazakhstan’s diverse landscapes, all geographical features showcased on this platform are integrated with widely-used online mapping services.

According‌ to recent trends‌ in ecotourism growth—estimated at over 14% annually—the map will facilitate residents’ ability to gather essential information for trip planning effectively.

Key Features Highlighting Environmental ‌Monitoring

A notable aspect ‌of this interactive map is its incorporation of ⁣satellite monitoring technology designed to identify locations prone to illegal activity such as unauthorized ‌dumping or logging. Moreover, this feature tracks temperature anomalies within state forestry areas. Currently, ⁣surveillance covers 46 priority zones spanning major urban centers alongside heavily populated districts.

By leveraging ‌advanced⁣ spatial data analysis techniques for these initiatives, authorities ‌aim not ⁤only for better regulatory enforcement but also for ‌raising community awareness regarding their local environments.

this ⁢pioneering tool ‍represents a significant step⁣ toward transparent governance in ecological matters while simultaneously fostering sustainable tourism practices across Kazakhstan’s rich natural‍ heritage.
