The Chicago White Sox are coming off a season to forget.
They finished with a record of 41-121, the record for most losses by an MLB team in the modern era.
After winning the American League Central division only four years ago, in 2021, the White Sox progressively worsened every season.
With plenty of work to do this offseason to get the team back to a competitive level, the White Sox have traded away their best starting pitcher, Garrett Crochet.
After the trade of Crochet, the White Sox now have some talent in their farm system.
According to MLB Network on ‘X,’ the White Sox have six prospects ranked in the MLB Pipeline’s top 60 prospects.

The six prospects in the White Sox system include left-handed pitcher Noah Schultz at number 16, catcher Kyle Teel at number 25, left-handed pitcher Hagen Smith at number 30, shortstop Colson Montgomery at number 37, outfielder Braden Montgomery at number 54, and catcher Edgar Quero at number 59.
While most of these names don’t stand out yet, the White Sox now have the potential to develop these players into regular MLB players in the coming seasons.
The White Sox hit rock bottom in 2024 and have nowhere else to go but up in 2025.
With the AL Central responsible for three playoff teams in 2024, the White Sox will likely have a hard time being competitive in the division next season.
There have been reports of the White Sox potentially being interested in trading their other star player, outfielder Luis Robert Jr., as well this offseason.
