In early February I had the chance to journey to Las Vegas to the AHR Expo. For these of you who’ve by no means heard of it, it’s a ginormous 50,000-person expo centered totally on area and water heating methods, a Mecca of types for a warmth pump dork like me.

Residential warmth pump water heater producers have been out in full drive at AHR, I counted a dozen manufacturers who had merchandise on show. GE, Bradford White, LG, Steibel Eltron, Vaughn, Navien, Ariston, Rheem, A. O. Smith, Noritz, Bosch, SanCO2, and Rinnai, all had HPWHs proudly displayed.
I talked with many producers and heard that HPWHs are “the future” and that producers are enthusiastic about it. Producers advised me time and again that they have been extremely invested within the know-how and that HPWHs meet so lots of their objectives to assist the grid, assist decrease utility payments, assist the setting, and…
