Springbok centre Andre Esterhuizen has been slapped with a four-match ban after receiving a red card against Portugal.
However, the suspension will be reduced to three matches should he complete a World Rugby Coaching Intervention Programme.
Esterhuizen made head contact while tackling Portugal’s Jose Lima in Bloemfontein on Saturday.

The Boks lost Esterhuizen early in the game when he made head contact with Portugal counterpart Jose Lima in a tackle.
Esterhuizen was initially shown a yellow card before it was upgraded to red upon further review.
