It’s February 2020 and Judy Bobbett has just made her debut for Ireland against Italy in the Six Nations. From the outside looking in, many people would have believed she was on top of the world, but for her it was the exact opposite.
Playing rugby for Ireland was her dream from an early age but struggles with her mental health meant the sport had become toxic for her. And when the Covid-19 pandemic cut the tournament short, she decided to step away from rugby.
