The Toronto Blue Jays missed the postseason in 2024 after finishing last in the American League East.
In a tough division, the Blue Jays need to remain aggressive in the offseason, but they have yet to make any splash moves.
Although they have been involved in talks with big-time players including Juan Soto, they have not been able to land any significant talent.
Former Blue Jays manager and MLB analyst Buck Martinez revealed his thoughts on what he expects from the organization as the offseason progresses.
“I’m not ready to close the book on the Blue Jays’ offseason by any means,” Martinez said, via MLB Network.

Martinez mentions that teams make moves up until the end of spring training, so there is plenty of time for the Blue Jays to add talent.
Aside from acquiring new players, the Blue Jays reportedly have been in talks with Vladimir Guerrero Jr. on a contract extension as he is set to become a free agent at the end of the 2025 season.
With plenty of talent still on the table, the Blue Jays have options to pursue if they choose to do so.
Toronto has made the postseason in three of the past eight seasons, but all three appearances resulted in it being swept in the wild-card round.
This season, the Blue Jays will attempt to win their first division title since 2015 and advance past the wild-card round for the first time since 2016.
