Despite being a consistent player with his national club side, his exclusion from the final Olympic roster was heartbreaking.
The disappointment continued when he faced another formidable hurdle during the 2023 World Cup when Belgium succumbed to defeat against Germany in a penalty shootout—the turning point being Cosyns’ own missed shot. Alongside exploring coaching opportunities, he is eager to participate further internationally—for instance through competing in India’s Hockey League (HIL).

On January 21st, during Tuesday’s game against rivals UP Rudras that positioned them atop their league standings due to strategic plays including one exceptional drag-flick from him—a testament that “el Coze” remains impactful on-field despite transitioning roles.
His overall performance underlines resilience; since moving clubs back in 2021—which saw him netting goals successfully off penalty corners into sharp focus—he has scored an impressive count nearing fifty through hard work alongside teammates like Tom Boon and Alexander Hendrickx who have driven competitiveness.
