The head coach of Kaliningrad’s “Baltika,” **Andrey Talalaev**, expressed his support for the players of “Rostov,” “Krasnodar,” and Novorossiysk’s “Chernomorets,” who are facing logistical challenges.
“Our return home is still ongoing, but I don’t find anything particularly adventurous about it. Spending seven hours on a bus along a nighttime route is quite normal for us; we are accustomed to such situations. I have great respect for the players who are competing in the south, especially those from ‘Rostov’, ‘Krasnodar’, and ‘Chernomorets’. The difficult logistics help explain their fluctuating performances. Maintaining a high level of play over an extended period is challenging with constant travel.
Thanks to our sponsor, ‘Rostec’, we are in fairly comfortable conditions. Typically, for such long trips, we use two buses. After achieving our main objective for the year, we allowed the players two days off, one of which will be spent traveling. We left at 7 PM yesterday and arrived in Stavropol at 3 AM. We rested, had breakfast, and then headed to the airport. We will be flying to Kaliningrad via Moscow until 8:50 PM,” Talalaev stated in an interview with Championship correspondent Oleg Lysenko.
On May 17, “Baltika” will face Krasnoyarsk’s “Yenisey” in the 33rd round of the First League for the 2024/2025 season.
