Manchester City romped home against a game Ipswich Town side to make it two wins out of two, with Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne being the catalysts of another dominant win for the blue side of Manchester.
Player Ratings
Manchester City
De Bruyne and Haaland proved to be the two cheat codes for City once again, with both scoring an overall rating of 9.2 and 9.1 respectively in the 3pm kickoff.
Manuel Akanji also had a solid afternoon for the home side, managing to secure an 8.1 rating for the Sky Blues.
Here are the player ratings for Man City:
Ipswich Town
The Tractor Boys just could not deal with the level of quality in front of them this afternoon, although Samuel Szmodics scoring should in itself be considered an achievement, which saw him score an overall rating of 6.3.
Here are the player ratings for Ipswich:
Best Player of the Match
Kevin De Bruyne
De Bruyne’s 9.2 rating was more than enough to see him emerge as the best player on the pitch, with Haaland just trailing behind.
With 58 passes in the final third and 93 passes with an 86% success rate overall, it is easy to see why he was dominant in the middle of the park, as he seemingly is every week.
Worst Player on the Pitch
Arijanet Muric
It seems incredibly harsh putting Ipswich keeper Arijanet Muric here, but when you see four go past you it is going to affect your rating in a negative way.
With only 1 save and 2 clearances across his 90 minutes on the pitch, the 3.5 rating for Muric is justified, but considering he had Haaland in front of him it’s almost to be expected.
