Sky Sports have released a brilliant sit-down interview with Brazilian duo Bruno Guimaraes and Joelinton, where our new team captain reveals his big goals for the season.
Bruno states that we have two aims; get back into the Champions League and win a trophy, feeling a trophy is the ‘most important target’ to give the fans ‘something special.’
The pair also discuss their close relationship – both on and off the pitch – and Joelinton explains why Bruno will be such a great team captain; even if he loses sleep thinking about what he’s going to say in his team talk the night before a game!
Bruno also reaffirmed his commitment to the club, saying “it has been some journey. But for me it’s not enough. I want more. I am here for more. It is such a pleasure.”
On Sandro Tonali, Bruno describes the Italian as a “good guy” who he and Joe have built a great friendship with, revealing that they would play Call of Duty together and involve him in anything they could to help him during his time out.
Bruno jokes that he’s like a new signing and hopes to see him have a great season now he’s finally available to play again following a frustrating 10 months. Watch the interview in full below:
