It’s been a brilliant week for so many Mags in international action and it was Lewis Hall’s turn on Monday night.
After featuring from the bench in England U21s’ 0-0 draw with Northern Ireland last week and celebrating his 20th birthday on Sunday, he followed that up with a start, two quality assists and an impressive man of the match performance as the Young Lions beat Austria 4-1 at Luton’s Kenilworth Road.
Watch both assists below, with the first a sharp cut-back swept home by James McAtee and the second a driving run that ended with a far-post cross that was tapped in by Tom Fellows:

A brilliant night for Hall and one that drew praise from one of the country’s top journalists in Henry Winter, who said: ‘A left-footed left-back in an England representative side providing balance, defensive security and now two assists. Lewis Hall showing his potential.’
It’s been some week of international action for our lads, with Hall’s two assists following three goals in four days for Alexander Isak, Sandro Tonali’s impressive return for Italy – who won again last night – back to back wins and clean sheets for Martin Dubravka and goals for Will Osula and Trevan Sanusi.
Next up, we have Gordon, Pop and Livramento hoping for some minutes as England face Finland on Tuesday night before Bruno and Almiron meet in World Cup qualifying in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
