On the upcoming Friday night, Nebraska will be kicking off its Big Ten football season as the Huskers prepare to host the Illinois Fighting Illini at Memorial Stadium. With both teams entering with a 3-0 record, it is expected to be an exciting matchup. Nebraska’s non-conference slate saw victories over UTEP, Colorado, and Northern Iowa while Illinois emerged victorious against Eastern Illinois, Kansas, and Central Michigan.
Currently ranking 49th in total offense with an average of 421.3 yards per game and 44th in scoring offense at 34.0 points per game, Nebraska seems to have a slight upper hand compared to Illinois ranking 79th in total offense with an average of 378.7 yards per game and 54th in scoring offense with an average of at least32.7 points per game.
A change for Nebraska this weekend will see Henry Lutovsky replacing Micah Mazzccua on the offensive line.
