Deputy President Paul Mashatile has officially landed in London, United Kingdom, for the second phase of his work trip, which is scheduled to run from today until Friday, October 4, 2024.

This visit aims to enhance trade and investment connections between South Africa and the UK. It follows a fruitful working trip to Ireland that sought to foster cooperation by improving trade relations and building on established advancements in science, innovation, education, and skill development.
The United Kingdom stands as one of South Africa’s key bilateral allies with vital contributions across various sectors such as trade, investment initiatives, skills development programs, scientific endeavors, innovation projects like the Just Energy Transition plan, and tourism growth.
Fostering Investor Confidence
Mashatile’s agenda during this visit revolves around instilling confidence among investors regarding opportunities in South Africa while actively promoting foreign direct investments into the country.
