From a South African point of view, the pick of the Tests this weekend was the one between the Springboks and Wales at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on Saturday.
The Springboks ran out easy 45-12 winners.
South Africa didn’t pick up any rankings points for their victory due to the lowly standing (11th) of the Welsh.
In results which did affect the standings, France picked up 0.43 points after beating Argentina 37-23, while the Pumas lost the same number.
Elsewhere, New Zealand added 0.27 points after beating Italy 29-11 with the Italians losing the same figure.
Saturday’s match was South Africa’s third and final fixture on their end-of-year tour.
Rassie Erasmus’s side opened their tour with a 32-15 win over Scotland at Murrayfield in Edinburgh and then saw off England 29-20 at the Allianz Stadium in London last weekend,
