A spokesperson clarified that it is not standard practice for the government to pursue any form of non-agricultural development on government-owned land within these designated agricultural priority zones.

The newly proposed agricultural sites predominantly encompass regions in North District, Yuen Long, and Tai Po. While the government emphasizes its commitment to preserve these areas for farming purposes, they indicated that planning applications seeking non-agricultural uses outside these prioritized spaces would typically not face opposition.
