On Sunday, a large group of cyclists happily pedaled through London for an eight-mile journey set to a pulsating bassline, following a DJ and his feline companion.
Dom Whiting, hailing from High Wycombe and popularly known as the DJ On The Bike, captivates thousands of fans as he traverses towns and cities on a specially modified bicycle equipped with speakers and turntables.
His unique On The Bike raves began during the lockdowns of the Covid pandemic.
“We couldn’t go out or socialize, missing out on that communal spirit that life is meant to have,” he shared.
A devoted attendee remarked to BBC London that the atmosphere is always welcoming.
“We’ve attended these events solo in the past, and you inevitably end up forming friendships,” she noted.
Mr. Whiting has built a substantial social media presence thanks to his eye-catching rides.
He has garnered over 800,000 followers online, many of whom first discovered him while he was cycling through their neighborhoods.
His events have visited various cities around the globe, and he intends to bring the celebration to numerous towns and cities throughout the UK this year.
