LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A motorcyclist was killed after an early-morning collision with a bus within the southeast valley, police mentioned.
On Aug. 4, at round 12:45 a.m., the Henderson Police and Hearth Division responded to the world of Racetrack Highway and Burkholder Boulevard after a crash involving an RTC bus and a motorcyclist.
An investigation confirmed the RTC bus was driving east on Racetrack Highway. The bus then tried to show left onto northbound Burkholder Boulevard on a flashing yellow flip sign, in response to a launch.
Police mentioned the bus become the trail of a motorcyclist driving west on Racetrack. The motorcyclist hit the entrance proper nook of the bus, inflicting the rider to be ejected from the motorbike.
The bus was not in service on the time of the incident, in response to police. The motive force remained on scene, and police issued them a quotation.
The motorcyclist succumbed to their accidents, and medical personnel pronounced them useless on the scene. The Clark County coroner’s workplace will determine them after subsequent of kin notification.
Velocity and impairment are usually not thought of to be components within the incident, police mentioned.
The intersection was closed for round 5 hours whereas the investigation was performed. The collision is the sixth accident-related fatality in 2025.
