Several items owned by the infamous London gangsters, the Kray twins, fetched thousands of pounds at a recent auction held in Devon.

Among the possessions of Ronnie and Reggie Kray were 19 handwritten condolence letters, which were auctioned off at Bearnes Hampton & Littlewood on Tuesday.

One notable item was a four-page handwritten letter addressed to their mother, Violet Kray, from April 1969, which sold for £1,600. The collection of condolence letters and cards garnered £1,300, while a set of photographs and memorabilia from between 1957 and 1974 was sold for £1,500.

Additionally, an 18-carat gold diamond ring that belonged to their elder brother Charlie fetched £2,800.

During the 1950s and 1960s, the twins established a criminal empire in London’s East End before being sentenced for murder.

Ronnie Kray passed away in 1995 at the age of 61, while Reggie died in 2000 at 66.

The auctioned items were sold by Dean Buffini, the stepson of Charlie Kray.

Included in the lots was a firearm license registered under Ronald Kray’s name, which, however, did not sell, as it had a reserve price of £5,000, according to the auction house.
